One word, hilarious! I gave Bobby the difficult task of being funny yet professional at our corporate event and he delivered. The jokes were hilarious yet appropriate. THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG, BUT WORTH IT!
"When Robert (as we know him, but goes by his childhood nickname "Bobby" in the comedy world), who has been our family's trusted financial advisor for decades, mentioned offhandedly that he's been "moonlighting" as a Standup comedian, our curiosity piqued. But honestly, given his sharp wit & the ease in which he navigates the complexities of finance, none of us were surprised. Yet, the thought of him on stage, "trading spreadsheets for punchlines," was too intriguing to pass up. So, we decided to see for ourselves what Robert's comedy world was all about, and OMG, what a pleasant surprise!
Attending one of his shows in Sherman Oaks, CA we expected... perhaps a few finance-related jokes, maybe some light-hearted pokes at some of his clients, or the nervousness of a beginner... but it was nothing like that. What we didn't expect was to be blown away by his comedic timing and his unique talent for making people laugh (without even using a PowerPoint - haha).
Not only did he enrich our appreciation for his multifaceted personality, but he also demonstrated the power of humor that brings people together. We left the show with a deeper bond with our advisor and a newfound admiration for his ability to navigate two drastically different worlds with grace and skill.
If you only know Robert (Bobby) only as a financial advisor (an incredibly knowledgeable one at that who has already done so much for our family financially), you're missing out on our new little secret: a comedic talent that makes you realize how fortunate you are to know him. A talented and genuine personality, a family man, and an outstanding human being. We're all already looking forward to attending one of his next shows! Can't Wait - get back home to California ... We Miss you!

While its rather unconventional to have a comedian entertain us in the comfort of our own home, Bobby was willing to do so and completely exceeded our expectations. "Hosting Bobby Goldsmith at our senior center turned an ordinary Thursday afternoon into an extraordinary burst of laughter and joy. As the activities director, I'm always on the lookout for entertainment that's not only appropriate for our audience but also engaging. It's rare to find someone who has bridged the generational gap with humor, but Bobby did just that.
Sidenote: Before he got on stage he was joking and talking to our residents, it was as if he was one of us. He can illuminate stories that resonate with every person in the room, With his clean and incredibly relatable humor,
What truly stood out was Bobby's respectful approach to comedy. He proved that you don't need to rely on edgy material to get genuine laughs. His performance was a beautiful reminder that humor doesn't have an age limit, and laughter truly is universal. Several of our residents, who are typically more reserved, were visibly uplifted, sharing in the collective amusement and forgetting, even if just for a moment, the challenges they face daily.
After the show, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Residents were already asking when Bobby would return, sharing their favorite jokes and moments from his set. The atmosphere in the center has been noticeably more buoyant since his visit, with residents recalling his performance and laughing all over again.

From the moment Bobby took the stage, we could tell we were in for some fun. He's a unique talent that tackles everyday life, "the good, the bad, and the pitfalls", of kids, relationships & marriage, with a touch of political humor that will have you laughing from the moment he hits the stage. Bobby is a refreshing personality offering up a cleaner style of comedy, that is relatable without the need to cross the line into crudeness and vulgarity as so many others tend to do. This was a great choice for our marketing team's night out.
